With Embiid MAYBE coming back from reports, this makes more sense. DDR helps keep the team afloat until April, and can help in the playoffs

I do see PHIL as a little more interested in DeRozan to finish this season in the playoffs in hopes Embiid can play in the first or second round. He takes up the scoring load that Reed obviously doesn't. To me they need a 3rd team to give the Bulls something more than the same cap space they have with DeRozan. Covington and Morris plus plus a pick in 2029 isn't attractive to the Bulls.

Drummond could team with Reed at the 5 but provides no real scoring threat.

The way outside the box option would be Vucevic. Signed for 2 more year, could probably play next to Embiid in the MINN type of game. Vuc can start and do more in the 20 games a year Embiid is 'resting a minor injury'. That could be Morris, Korkmaz and Bamba ad the Bulls could be satisfied with the savings and maybe take a couple of 2nds.

I think the deal you proposed is VERY good and close to the best case thing they could do for this year with just that 26 pick. Getting maxey off ball more with derozan here would be great for him.
