And now its spread to other posters also dismissing other perspectives. So either we open this up and have discussion or I'll just lock it and you guys can discuss this on the Warriors board where you won't have to hear outside voices you clearly aren't interested in.

Please let me know which.

Not against criticism but just posted reports by professionals carries more weight. That is logical.

Yeah because the media is never used..... How do you think these professionals get this information? From a team (sometimes an agent, but on something like this a team.) And does a team think they can benefit if they leak out silly asking prices? Yeah. You just dont' see it because you want it to be true so you accept it to be true. But if it was a report that another team leaked that had the Warriors getting poor value you wouldn't just accept it as "professional report"

But regardless of what sources you take at face value, this board is about different opinions, not just ones we like, right? So when you start and OP and people are kind enough to give you feedback and you start accusing them of bias and telling them their opinion is worthless, why start a topic?

Just post it on a Warriors board where you can get only pro-Warriors takes. That's not what this place is intended to be.

Thanks

Did I post their opinion is worthless. Do they have bias it's fact. If you are in a discussion about value you post outside correlation to make a counter.

I was way more interested in Wiggins as a cheap option if we missed out on a big Siakam type deal, but... we got Siakam. We're going to be paying him plenty, not sure we also want to be paying Wiggins.

With that said, it isn't my money; I do think Wiggins has a third act in his career on a new team. He reinvented himself in Golden State after being seen as a low-efficiency no-defense chucker for years. He became a solid utility wing, good defender, great team player. Now he's seemingly on the decline; but we've seen it plenty before, where a guy's seeming decline is more about the situation, the team, and being burned out treading water in a situation that doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Make him the 4th/5th wheel on an up and coming Pacers team? Maybe he is rejuvenated.

So I'm not totally opposed to it but wow it is a big expense 26, 28, and 30 million in the next 3 years; Maybe we could work in a 2025 1st round pick swap option? Maybe something else? I think the Warriors probably have to give up at least a little value somewhere in a Wiggins/Hield swap.

The dubs were on the verge of being a very good defense again with drays return, this trade puts then bottom 5 easily.

Can't see the Pacers adding any incentive to trade Buddy for Wiggins, much less a prospect who has flashed pretty well in Jackson.

Why do we believe Wiggins is getting an expiring contract and what is essentially a first round pick? He has taken a massive step back as a player this year and his contract isn't great.

Wiggins has not looked good this season. I would not want to take his salary, and Cory Joseph does nothing for me. Jackson has looked pretty good in limited minutes, he's still raw and foul prone. But I'd say no to this without at least 1 future #1.
