Raps will give OKC Connauton in this deal, but want Tre Mann back since he is buried in OKC.

I’d give Poku, Tre Mann, 27, 42 for Portis, but that’s probably my ceiling.

And 5m as dead cap , if you waive him.
He makes 16 mill. Thats 10.75 in open cap space.
Once you waived him that’s 5m as dead cap .
If you get someone else instead as 16-17m expiring that’s still 17m sitting on the bench as potential production or salary matching but a waived player is dead cap on your salary.
Put it this way, would you rather trade an expiring today for him so you can waive him for 5m next year ?
Or would you rather hold on to the expiring ?
Bertan’s contract isn’t especially for the teams looking to spend in Free agency, it’s appealing to the tax teams, which funnily enough is plenty..
How much would the saving be for a hard capped team??
There’s no universe where Presti attaches assets to move AB’s contract.
Sure they need some win now size, it’s just not Portis, I’d prefer they give up a pick for someone like Capella or Poeltl…

Take out 27 and you might be close, this doesn’t help the Bucks tho…

Tax team are those still in playoffs . You probably moving your non rotation players to pay less tax instead .
And sure Presti might not attach asset just to move Bertans contract , but on the flip side , the other team just might not have a need or a want for Bertans on his current salary and contract structure .

Jaylin Williams is an interesting piece but Bruce Brown is a way overpriced roleplayer.
