Most valuable asset traded today?

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Thu Feb 8, 2024 7:58 pm

2027 top 2 protected Dallas 1st?

Correct me if I"m wrong. But, this seems like a pretty low bar for the most valuable asset traded at the deadline.

Am I forgetting someone/something?

Nah, I think that's about it really. Utah got the 2nd and 3rd best picks out of the deadline I think?

Said in reference to Utah's trade assets in a potential Doncic deal.

I'm including players as assets though. I like Grimes better than either of Utah's picks.

Eh, fair enough.

It's either Jaden Springer or Killian Hayes getting cut.

I would say Dallas first, then PJ, Then Bogi, Then Grimes, Then Buddy Hield, Then Gafford, then 1st Raps traded, then 2nd Indy got (raps) from Philly.

unprotected 2028 Dallas swap to OKC is probably one of the top.

I think I might slide Royce Oneale ahead of SRP Indy got, but that's pretty close

The possible post-Luka 2028 pick swap has the potential to be very bad, but I am optimistic that it wont really matter all that much. Mavs have a lot of good, young talent now.

Pretty slow deadline.

For this year, Bojan for on court production. But he's 34.
2 years from now? I've got it as a tossup between Dallas pick and Grimes. I think those have the most potential upside. Not that PJ , heild and Gafford are bad players, but I think they are what they are at this point.

This reminds me of when Rafer Alston was the biggest trade deadline move. I remember ESPN.com graphic with him as the lead trade deadline story trying to hype it up

Pretty weak-sauce deadline.
For NY I do wish it was a quieter day. Going to miss Grimes and we are going to tank Bogdanovics value when he gets buried due to suspect defense.
