Would need to be a S&T with Ingram (if Possible) being Wolves can’t risk losing Ingram for nothing.

I just don't see the Cavs being interested in swapping Allen for KAT. That's before you have them tossing in Garland.

I think that is looking at it wrong.

Herb for Allen is interesting value debate.

Garland = Towns

If Cavs don’t see either of those, deal is dead. I think they would.

Well Garland doesn't play center, Allen does, so I'm certain I'm looking at it correctly. Allen's a two way-player and a lot cheaper than KAT. Garland is also cheaper than KAT and under contract for longer so I don't agree with that evaluation either. Mobley's going to come off his rookie deal and if Mitchell extends, he'll be more expensive. The Cavs don't need to be paying KAT max money.

Depending on how the playoffs go for both teams, there's an opportunity for the Pels and Cavs to have a discussion, but the Wolves don't need to be part of it.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Why does it matter what position when comparing players value.

Towns and Garland are arguably best players in the deal and most valuable. That is the lead discussion on doing trade or not. They are center of plate. Then move on to side dishes in value but needed in deal for roster fit/construction.

So if you think Cavs prefer Garland/Allen or Towns/Jones…sure have that take. Why we are all here. But the trade is not Towns for Allen with Garland “thrown in” while leaving out Herb Jones in evaluation of said trade. Hence looking at it wrong.

Well, if I'd rather have Allen at center making $20M per, than KAT at center on a max deal, then there's no reason to make the trade before you even get to adding Garland.
