This team is 9th in the West and has a negative point differential despite historically good health, I don't think competing against Denver is the goal, lol.
AD at the 4 only worked because AD fluked into an incredible shooting postseason and he hasn't been able to shoot since. AD at the 4 is offensive poison now unless he's playing with like Chet or Porzingis.
AD and LeBron are also a lot less athletic than they were so many years ago.
Could the Lakers trade for a stretch 5? Probably not, there are none available as every team with one built their entire team around having a stretch 5. The Thunder, Celtics, Bucks, and Pacers aren't trading their guys. The 76ers and Nuggets obviously aren't trading Embiid or Jokic either, lol.
The only path is if the Lakers do some wild overpay for Turner that the Pacers can't pass up. Like Reaves and 2-4 good firsts.
They were just in the WCF and lost to Denver.
Naz and Portis seem like fine options. Doesn't need to blowing the bank for Turner.
Okay, but this year they're 9th in the West and have a negative point differential with historically good health.
They had a worse record last season
