Looking for equal value (value being each team gets what it feels is fair value).
Assumption: Mitchell resigns with the Cavs.
Cavs send Allen, Garland
Cavs receive Isaac, Jones, Daniels, Black, #17, #18, 25 FRP, 26 FRs (1 of PHX/WAS)
Cavs give up 2 big pieces (the defensive leader) for Herbert Jones who is locked in for 3 more years, a backup PG, and a backup center. The cost of giving away 2 starters is the FRPs which are mid firsts so value is less.
Pelicans send Jones, Daniels,#17, 25 FRP
Pelicans receive Allen
Might be a bit of an overpay but again the value of a high teens pick in this draft is not ideal. Plus the Pels get the defensive center they need with Williamson, McCollum and Murphy. Still have the choice to trade of Ingram for a PG.
Magic send Isaac, Black, #18, 26 FRP
Magic receive Garland
Magic get the point guard needed to run the team. The cost a back up center, the back up PG and 2 FRPs.
Cavs with their new picks could go after players with size.

I think the Pelicans are giving up too much.
Also think the Cavs would probably prefer WCJ over Isaac in this case. Either way, Im guessing Cavs fans will say that is not enough value for Garland.

Is this Herb Jones? If so I value him more than Jarrett Allen.

Cavs might be getting fair value here, but the individual breakdown is off.
Pels are paying too much for Allen. Magic aren't paying enough for Garland

Interesting mini rebuild trade for CLE. Value seems pretty good, just don't think they want to head in that direction.

Re: Cavs/Pels/Magic
This is a rebuilding package. You trade Mitchell if this is the direction you want to go. I mean you have the Cavs with three non-lottery firsts in this draft. Mitchell isn't going to be happy with us developing three rookies.
I just have a hard time believing that picks in this draft will constitute part of the value for any of these players (the possible exception being Allen) due to the fact that Mitchell will not have signed the extension before the draft.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Re: Cavs/Pels/Magic
I like Garland a lot, but when you factor in contract, defense and recent playoff performance...I think ORL is overpaying just a bit. Admittedly, it's really hard to objectively value Isaac, due to injury history...when healthy, he's as impactful as anyone in the trade. Calling him a "backup Center" indicates very little time watching him...he's generally a 3 and does most of his damage on the perimeter (but will still meet you at the rim)...He's no throw-in trade filler.
I think NOLA is overpaying too...I guess that means that, imo, CLE is winning too big-ly.

Is Allen even more valuable then Herb Jones alone? And Pels are adding Dyson and 2 first rounders on top of that? lol...
