Just throwing it out there. Jarrett Allen can also be renegotiated and create another great contract thanks to his low salary in 2025-2026…

Naz will hit free agency and either be looking to make up for this contract probably. Or just stay in Minnesota because he loves the city.. either way..

Minnesota passes, pretty easily honestly.

I don't think the value is horrific but turning 2 starters and the 6MOY into 1 starter and...is Jerome even an NBA player? Even if he is it absolutely destroys the depth they have, which is a big reason why they've been so successful. Not to mention from a timeline and culture point of view they should be holding onto guys like Naz and Jaden to keep a consistent core around Ant as he grows and guys like Rudy and KAT age out.

If there is a Cleveland-Minnesota deal to be done I think it's more based around a KAT-Garland trade (with lots of other moving pieces, including Allen going elsewhere in another deal). Even that might not be realistic anymore given the success they've had however, but I think that ticks the boxes of retooling around Ant's age range while also addressing the financial issues without wrecking their depth.

I’d do this as a Cavs fan but I think a Towns for Garland trade might just be an easier trade.

I think this would be an ideal trade for Cleveland personally. Conley and Reid would be ideal bench depth in Cleveland and McDaniels fills a major void.
