2.0 this time with Wolves (not Spurs).
Could cut out a team but seems every team is getting the player they want in the deal. Assuming Mitchell is staying in Cleveland.
Wolves Trade:
Towns
FOR
Garland + #21 (via Pelicans) + 12.6M cap savings
Why= get below 2nd apron, Garland core addition, keep needed scoring on roster.
Hawks Trade:
Murray + Filler (Griffin?)
FOR
Daniels + LeVert + 2025 Lakers 1st (via Pelicans) + 27 Bucks 1st (via Pelicans)
Why= refresh backcourt with some returned capital.
Pelicans Trade:
Ingram + Daniels + Hawkins + #21 + 2025 Lakers 1st + 27 Bucks 1st
FOR
Murray + Allen + Hawks Filler (Griffin?)
Why= get their PG and C. Assume prefer Murray over Garland.
*Value wise I see Murray/Allen each > expiring Ingram and Pels have a lot of value to make up.
Cavs Trade:
Garland + Allen + LeVert
FOR
Ingram + Towns + Hawkins
Why= reshuffle lineup around Mitchell.

Hmm.
Cleveland would get a lot better with a trade like this. I like it.

If Cavs traded Lavert and Garland they would need Daniels and ship Hawkins to Atlanta. I think this trade doesn’t require Atlanta.
Wolves: Towns
Wolves: Garland
Cavs: Allen, Niang, and Garland
Cavs: Ingram and Towns
Pelicans: Ingram
Pelicans: Allen and Niang
Works in the trade machine
Wolves: Towns
Wolves: Garland
Cavs: Allen, Niang, and Garland
Cavs: Ingram and Towns
Pelicans: Ingram
Pelicans: Allen and Niang
Works in the trade machine

collectively seems a little too good to be true for CLE.
Can't see Minny in a rush to move Towns at the moment.

Oh there's no way Minny is moving Towns after what's happened this year. It's very clear they need him if they want to continue to be contenders.

Towns has been amazing. My second favorite player - behind McDaniels as favorite. Edwards is growing on me of course as Wolves resident superstar. But…
Which starting 5 is better:
Gobert
Towns
McDaniels
Edwards
Conley
Gobert
Reid
McDaniels
Edwards
Garland

They are amazing. Hope game two goes better. But you are on a TNT board talking about the offseason already. 2nd lineup seems better to me and more $ sustainable. But I hope when Wolves win the chip - money is no object.

Thats only part of the equation though. Now fill out the rotation too. Is Conley now the 15-18 mpg backup pg? Because he and Garland are both 6' - 6'1" and wouldn't be able to play together much. Who is the bench big with Naz starting?

That is why they get below the 2nd apron. Can fill out the rotation more complete.
