Expiring Ingram is not worth Duren and #5. I am not even sure if he is worth either.

Ivey makes 0 sense to Portland, they have their own guards that play 0 defense to develop alread, and Grant is not worth a lot considering his contract status.

I suggested this on the other Pistons thread but would you do Grant +7 for 5?

The only reason Portland does this is if they really wanted Buzelis, assuming he's available at 5

I hope not. Buzelis looks like a bust to me.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Det can give immediate cap relief to Portland and some minor asset (possibly Stewart as mentioned). Ivey back to Portland makes no sense (IMO too much value and clearly a terrible fit).

I could see Ingram to Detroit but I don't like it. in many ways he has the same limitations as Cade does (ball-dominant, poor off-ball, frequent injuries). I don't feel that his trade value is that high. If NO feels that they need to make a move, don't want to move Zion and there isn't much market for Ingram then the Pistons may make a move.

I could see Cade to New Orleans for Ingram and added value allowing Detroit to give Ivey a shot at PG and see what he can do.

Acquiring Ingram isn’t the hard part. He’s got one year left on his deal and probably thinks he deserves a max extension.

Ingram doesn’t make a lot of sense based on price and future contract. No matter the offseason to occur, the Pistons will not be playoff team. Acquiring a player on a one year deal who will cost significant assets. It would make no sense.

I like the Grant fit but the cost shouldn’t be this high.

If the Pistons are moving Cade, the Pistons enter an immediate tear down and restart of the rebuild. Premium picks and younger talent would be the goal. If the Pistons take this route, we should all quit as fans.

Probably not. I'd try to trade #5 + a combination of Ivey Duren Ausar for an all star.
