Nothing overboard here. Sexton was better at less than half the price, even more so when you look at his starter vs reserve splits.

The Jazz should definitely continue to build around him as lead guard then.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but Garland has shown that he's not the guy that a team should be built upon either. So then why would a team pay an extra premium for that?

A better choice than Garland at this point.

Cavs need to make some big decisions this summer.
1) do they want to continue Allen/Mobley? If not, who leaves?
2) do they want to run back with Mitchell/Garland? This is much easier to complete - if Mitchell is willing to resign, Garland moves. If not, Mitchell moves.
Cleveland gets much better offers moving players individually rather than as a package.

Something along the lines of Allen/LeVert for Ingram/20.

Garland to Orlando for WCJ/Black/#18/25 FRP.

Cleveland rebuilds with a new offense.

I doubt there's many teams that want to pay Garland 4/$164 mil over the next four seasons. Even Spur fans don't want to include Vassell in a Garland trade.

These are playoff net pair ratings the past 2 years:

Garland/Allen -8.9 in 243 minutes

Mitchell/Allen -5.2 in 300 minutes

Garland/Mitchell -4.71 in 434 minutes

Garland/Mobley -4.31 in 512 minutes

Mitchell/Mobley +.16 in 459 minutes

I can see why the Cavs would potentially want to divest themselves of Garland and Allen in order for Mitchell and Mobley to shine.

Now do all, and I mean ALL the other stats.
