Yeah I definitely can't see NOP trading either of Murphy or Jones.
Ingram is the odd man out and I still think Cleveland is a good spot for him.
With Daniels there, along with #20/#21 and Okoro the Cavs are still well-placed to nab another superstar via trade down the track.

Way too much for the Pels to give up.

I have Garland+Niang = Ingram+Nance straight across. Nance is worth more than Niang, so it covers the delta between Garland/Ingram and their respective contracts.

Adding Daniels+#21 is a significant overpay.

That's fair.

I think Garland and Ingram aren't too far off in a vacuum. Both have had trouble staying on the court too. I see Garland take a significant lead due to contract status alone and being a couple of years younger a small, perhaps inconsequential to some, boost in value.
I would have Daniels/#21 as the bridge in this regard. Perhaps that is too much.
Nance is a much better player than Niang who is cheaper and on 1 more year than the former.

Perhaps it is an overpay, but Garland is the real prize here, and it's about how well he would fit more than anything else. That NOP core takes a substantial leap IMO with Zion/Garland/Herb/Murphy locked up (or in Murphys case soon to be) and you still have a load of picks and CJ to turn into a starting 5 and depth.
Alverado will need a new deal shortly and he is someone who IMO would be integral to keep and along with Hawkins the bench guard spots are filled really well.

Yeah I see your contract status and youth and raise a 6’8 passer who can create his own shot at a greater position of need, with a higher defensive ceiling. Plus the Pels would have to figure out the CJ situation.

I don’t see Herb or Trey involved at all and even Dyson is likely off the table. I get the Cavs fans perspective that Garland is the better player but there’s room for significant disagreement there.

Replace Dyson in the trade with Alvarado and it feels more balanced. Alvarado is too short and Hawkins too thin to hold up defensively. So if they're bringing in Garland as their main smaller lead guard, then keeping Dyson and selling high on Jose makes sense.

Also, Jose is BFFs with BI, so that xould factor in to the extension agreements.

I think that could be a very good alteration. Excellent suggestion.

Ok, now what use do the Cavs now have for Alvarado? The Pels don't want an undersized backcourt, so why should the Cavs? Nance is nice PERIPHERAL value, but he's no reason to do this deal, and the 21st pick in a weak draft is DAMN sure not a reason to. I'd rather hold onto Garland than move him for another flight risk in Ingram who I ALSO wouldn't pay his max to to get him to stay.
