Isn’t that exactly the kind of move Ainge would make? Lavines ceiling as an asset is 10x that of Collins/Clarkson. Over the next two years the salary difference is negligible and his final year could be at worst an excellent salary ballast for a star.

I agree Minnesota will probably do very little, hoping to ride their successful season into public support for a new arena.

They will likely see Kyle Anderson walk. Monte Morris only stays if this lost season leads to a cheap, short term deal. Finch loves Jordan MacLaughlin, and I think he will get little interest from other teams, so MIN might bring him back on a vet min. They will also have to decide whether to give Jaylen Clark a Hinkie Special, and will likely let the possible Luka Garza walk.

But I agree with the overall tone. MIN runs it back.

Yeah, I don't think Minnesota will do much, besides likely watch Anderson and Morris walk out the door. I do think a few things you outlined aren't likely.

Given how Princes' tenure ended where he claims he found out he was being cut via twitter and, if memory serves (it gets hazy up there some times) that the wolves were trying to bring him back on the same salary he ultimately signed with the Lakers, unless he doesn't have any other options available at the minimum I don't see that one. I'd imagine its more likely they bring in a vet min big man that's the "break glass in case of emergency" type, like Garza has been for them.

The trades also seem a little off. Seems like either they aren't getting enough to move back from 27 to 34. Or are giving up too much to go up from 37 to 32 since the 45th was the extra value in both deals.
