Spotrac NBA Trade Machine updated with 2024-25 rules and rosters

Hi All!

I hope you are all doing well, enjoying the season and getting ready for the offseason!

On Spotrac, we have updated our Trade Machine (please note this version is still in BETA!). All of the logic for trade rules (including updating salary-matching and aggregation rules for apron teams) should be working correctly. We've also flipped all rosters and salaries over to 2024-25, since that is what most folks are looking at.

You can toggle restrictions on and off, which allows you to trade players with pending options and removes date-based trade restrictions, as well.

Lastly, we built in functionality to renounce pending free agents. This way, if you want to trade players into cap space, you can now do so.

I hope you'll enjoy what we feel is the most accurate trade machine that is publicly available. Please don't hesitate to provide feedback on things you find that broken, missing or just upgrades you would like to see. (Note: Draft pick trade functionality isn't fully built out yet. That's coming!)

Awesome news Keith!

Question in the salary pages though. The updated view certainly simplified the view of salaries, but removed some serious usability. Any chance we might get back the “guaranteed salary” and “salary remaining” (over the lifetime of the deal) columns? They were seriously useful and saved a TON of clicks and loads.

Aren't certain teams allowed to trade players into their NTMLE starting this offseason?
Tried it with Houston just to check and it did not work.
