So the Kings have 13 in this draft and I expect Monte to face a board where the best players are Carter, McCain and Collier. Miami sits at 15 and will almost for sure grab the best of the lot.

The Kings already have a crowded back court and drafting another guard will only increase the crowding a piss off players like Monk they hope to resign.

What is your best offer to jump Miami and take the guard of your choice……

I think if I'm the Blazers I hold out for a 2025 first for Grant. Even if you get say #20 instead of #13, it sounds like it's a more promising prospect right now.

I think people are misreading this draft from what I have read. Yes the top 5 are not comparable to most years and an overspend but 10-20 is supposedly very good compared to most drafts.

Sacramento gets a wing and a shot on Murray (which should be nice for he and his brother to be on the same team). Memphis gets two shots at impact players if Clingan isn't there or they don't love him, Portland moves up on the draft and clears future salary. Portland would try to flip Huerter and/or Barnes afterward.

Too good for memphis, pretty bad for Portland. I think 9 fetches 14 + 1 asset, but not all of them

People seem to assign value to Huerter for some reason. Perhaps Memphis sends a top 20 protected first to Portland to balance?

Yeah there's just no way. Ellis was our only real bright spot to end the season and looks like a potential 3&D monster. There's a chance he blows up next season.

I feel like it is perfect for a team to just take best available or try for one of the big guys.

I do not see HOU as willing to give up much. Would offer up any of Tate, Landale, JeffGreen, Adams, 2nd round picks. Probably not enough though.

They would have to. He's not the perfect fit next to Sabonis, but it's still decent (good). He would fill the backup 5 spot as well so that in a way kills 2 birds with one stone.

A deal doesn't get done just by throwing Huerter or Barnes in there as the salary. The Kings would need something half decent back if it's either of those guys.
