I like it.
It’s trivial but #45 isn’t necessary.

I'd do that. Bucks need a guard who can defend and need to part with one of our bigs for a different look.

I see no interest in the big money players from the Bulls, they have their own to deal with. If CHI were to make a lot of changes at the guard spot, possibly MarJon Beauchamp or AJ Green if the Bulls have a high opinion of either.

I think it's too soon to give up on the Giannis-Dame pairing. Given the investment that was made and the season Dame had, i don't see a scenario where the Bucks can end up in a higher upside position vs what they have with Giannis/Dame.
Middelton more interesting because he has really declined from where he was a few years ago in terms of health and production - but when he's healthy he's an ideal #3 option that offers positional versatility. And the contract - essentially 2 years and $65MM at this point, is manageable.
The question is how can you get creative with a win now piece that brings the Bucks back depth. I think you need to focus on teams with veteran guys who can similar to Middleton, but make less money and could potentially use a change of scenery.
Middleton to Golden State for Andrew Wiggins, Moses Modey (is another asset needed?). Milwaukee is banking on a change of scenery helping Wiggins get back to what he was prior to the personal issues 18 months ago, but if it works out, Wiggins is a younger, cheaper version of Middleton and MIL is only adding 1 more year of salary. Moody gets a chance to step in and be a 3 and D wing at a position of need with Beasley likely getting a real contract elsewhere.
Lillard/Moody/Wiggins/Giannis/Lopez
Golden State does that trade thinking that (a) Wiggins needs a change of scenery, (b) Moody isn't a guy they will pay long term so brining in Middleton upgrades their team long term.
Another guy who can fit this mix is Harrison Barnes in Dallas, although it's hard to find the other pieces that make the trade make sense. I could see a Tim Hardaway Jr/Maxi Kleber structure of a deal work with Dallas. Would Detroit take him into cap space for Quentin Grimes and something else? Can MIL do enough with the full mid level to make a deal like this worth it?
