BKN - LAL - OKC Trade

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Tue Jun 4, 2024 4:51 am

Nets get:
D'Angelo Russell
Josh Giddey

What the Nets need to do now is establish an identity. They already have key defensive pieces so with this trade, they get players who can make their offense more flowing and versatile. Josh is very young and D Lo also had his best season in Brooklyn.

Giddey/Russell/Bridges/DFS/Claxton

Lakers get:
Cam Johnson
Lu Dort

The Lakers get the pieces better suited for Lebron and AD. Cam is the perfect forward for them because of his length and shooting while Lu is the 3&D guy they've been missing since KCP left.

Reaves/Dort/Lebron/Johnson/AD

Thunder get:
Cam Thomas
Rui Hachimura

They address several needs with this trade. A versatile legit PF who can run with this offense and a much needed scorer to help them in the perimeter. Lu's defense will be missed but I think Rui and JDub can fill his void.

We are stealing value here

Why is BKN moving Cam Johnson and Cam Thomas for Giddey and Dlo...

Rui actually does make some sense for OKC, but he is a poor rebounder and that makes him not so ideal if Chet is really your only big

I think OKC should be swinging for a guy like Bridges or Markennan, but say they do this deal, not bad value

But BKN needs at least a 1st here, if not more

I also dont understand why they do this deal, whats it do for them?

Really bad for Brooklyn.

Cam Thomas isn’t going anywhere and I personally have no interest in Giddey.

I am not a believer in Cam Thomas or Rui as playoff contributors. So IMO it’s no good for OKC and too good for LAL.

Would need at least DFS and a pick coming to OKC to make it work. But would probably rather not do the deal.

See! Everyone thinks Lakers fans are delusional and unfair in all aspects. I disagree and now this is proof they can be rational! NZahir is today's hero. He is correct!
