I don't see Beal signing off on a trade to any team that's not at least a quasi-contender, and SA is still a year or two away from that.

Plus they got a golden ticket with Wemby, don't destroy that opportunity to build a real contender by eating Beal's monster contract.

At least three years? The contract only has three years left. Are they going to accidentally sign him to an extension and be stuck with him longer?

For sure. Beal isn’t going anywhere for a variety of reasons.

Beal is the bogeyman. All fans live in fear of their GM being stupid enough to undo the Suns mistake.

I think almost whatever combination of players LAL sends back, would help Phoenix more than Beal. They need support around Booker/KD, not a bad fitting third offensive star.. but that didn’t come as a surprise to many.

Actually (and suprsisingly) Beal was the most willing defender of the big3.

I think LAL is the only team, if LeBron were to actually sign an extension this off season that lines up with Beal, which would take LeBron to what, 62 years old?

Would be a great trade for the Suns though if they could entice the Lakers into it. But just looking quickly, aren't the Lakers in the tax? So they would have to send out A LOT of salary which they don't really have outside of LeBron and AD.

Agree here. Its been discussed before, but D'Lo (if completed in time to opt in)/ Hachimura / Vincent feels like the most reasonable and maybe only option. Lebron and AD get the 3rd "star" to make a last push, Suns get depth and off the Beal contract, Beal would reasonably sign off because LA and still in "contention". Likely needs a subtle tweak to get it home but the framework is there.

Could maybe see something in Philly if they strike out on everyone else and start to feel pressure from Embiid. But that feels like a crazy stretch even with all the ifs

Yeah. That LAL trio feels right to me. Seems legal under the CBA. Don’t think anything else is really needed.

And if that’s the best move for Philly, I think trading the MVP is a better option. Beal is Philly costs all the depth and all their flexibility…

Yeah, Beal for some combination of Dlo/Rui/Vando/Vincent seems like the only realistic option here. I don't hate it for the Lakers if they follow it up with a Reaves-for-Caruso-type deal to actually get some POA defense.

I really don’t see any other market Beal would sign off on that would take his salary slot and make a legal trade?

If Atlanta chooses to trade Trae.. Would they take Beal back instead of “….” and let Phoenix add 22nd maybe or maybe not? They don’t own their own firsts, Murray/Beal could work well and Murray’s slightly underpaid contract helps mask Beal’s money a bit (not much).. say..

Hunter and Collins to Phoenix
Beal, “Utah assets” to Atlanta
Trae to Utah

If Atlanta fans disliked when I suggested similar deals with LaVine, I assume they’ll hate this even more..

There’s probably a GSW deal here somewhere with Wiggins/Payton/Looney. But it’s not a good idea for Golden State.

They would need young players and/or picks attached to offload him... They dont have enough of either.

And for the coming season I think the Suns are happy to be stuck with him.
