Miami trade: Robinson, 15
Miami receive: 24, 38

Detroit trade: fake 2nd
Detroit receive: Robinson, 25

NYK trade: 24, 25, 38
NYK receive: 15

Why for Miami: save money
Why for Detroit: get a late first and a shooter for eating 30M over 2 yrs
Why for NYK: consolidate for a rookie who can better contribute now

Your link says nothing about trading 3 picks to move up 10 spots for a rookie. It says ... (some BS than Kevin Durant )
A swing and a miss.

"Definitely word around the league that they're looking to move those," Fischer said.

But Fischer said he believes it will be more difficult than in years past for the Knicks to find a partner willing to trade down in the draft."

"The Athletic's Sam Vecenie similarly reported in May that the Knicks are "seen league-wide as a potential trade partner, as coach Tom Thibodeau is not likely to want multiple first-round rookies on his team."

Sounds like they are trying to move up..?

From this video it seem like they might keep and use all 3 picks to build up the bench.
Follow the science not some internet physician & get your shots.

Detroit would obviously want him, Detroit would likely trade a 2nd and raw cap space for either Robinson. Duncan or Mitchell.

Yeah. We’d do the deal as is without hesitation.

I don't see the #15 and Robinson for #5. But also don't necessarily think Quentin Grimes for Robinson is all that enticing either.

A 2nd or 2 and raw cap space (cap relief for Miami) or Sasser instead of the 2nds and cap relief.

Sasser/Grimes bench could be something, we'll see. I don't dislike Sasser, but he was inconsistent. So his value should be a 2nd or 2 imo.

I hope we do. I like some of the prospects in this part of the draft. They may not have a lot of upside but there are some high floor guys who can step in and provide value off the bench.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

Sasser was good more often than not before the injury (47/42 shooting splits in 50 games) and bad in that final stretch after the injury (36/30 splits in 21 games). I would not really say "inconsistent", just maybe left with bad memories because of that post-injury stretch, with some rookie wall thrown in.

Monty also seemed clueless on how to use him, trying to make him into some floor general PG, which he's not. He's a gunner. You play him more as a pure scorer that can pass a bit. I would not use him as a throw in, especially if the value is a 2nd rounder. No thanks.

Meanwhile, Robinson is the definition of inconsistent. He has whole ass years where he's really unplayable and then a couple years later he's pretty decent again. He gets in his own head as a shooter. That's risky money at $20M/year.
