S&T DDR to mavs

Post#1 » by Donkedave » Fri Jun 7, 2024 7:16 am

Mavs in: DDR
CHI in: THJ, Green,OMP ,2025 2nd(TOR), 2028 2nd(via CHA/LAC)

Most mavs fans want THJ & Green gone.
Don’t give a 1st, yep
Will ddr make them better? Yes
Will losing above players make them worse? No
Didn’t play much in all finals so far or at all.

Bulls get a expiring contract no one wants
Young talent that dropped off from where he was.
Then a very raw prospect and a couple of seconds.

Good bad or ugly?

Why would mavs want ddr? Like what does he actually add that they doesnt have?

Thj need to go fo capspace to make it possible to resign djj. There is just no chance mavs add ddr since he does not fit and cant play with luka and kai. Also seems u want to give him a huge contract. 2 2nds and recent 1st for a snt that seems to overpay him with twice what he should get while he cant defend and cant shoot 3s, just no.

Also, they got more mins in the final then ddr

As always for an unrestricted FA, they have to agree with the S&T. Why would DDR choose DAL, and at what number?

I'm also surprised that this suggestion came out after game 1 of the Finals. If I'm DAL, I am not thinking DDR is an answer.

That was just a coincidence tbh! I’d had it as trade on Fanspo for 2 weeks. Just got around to posting it here. Same number he’s on now(sorry I left but out)
28.6m- 26.0m-24m

Really good on a **** team clutch moments could be the difference

We cannot allow another questionable defender in the starting five and it is a lot of money for a 6 man, also DDR is too good to come off the bench, I would not be happy with that role and he is the owner of his future

Zero reason for Dal to want DDR> He doesnt solve any of their glaring issues and not giving up OMP and 2nds (the few assets DAl has) to just gift Chi.

If DDR agrees to be 6th man, Iike it.

Yeah, I’d love to upgrade Hardy/THJ. And DDR is so much more than upgrade to Hardy/THJ.. But he’s too much more for the assets/salary space Dallas has.

But maybe you still do it and dump Maxi to keep DJJ.

Chicago part isn’t that bad, Green+Prosper for helping Demar get somewhere we assume he wants to be? And pay two seconds to dump THJ.

It's beyond comprehension to think people don't want a 25ppg scorer who led the league in minutes and locker room leader due to cost because they want DJJ so badly.

If DAL doesn't want a virtually automatic mid range scorer because he doesn't spread the floor for 4 3pt shots a game then they should just stay the course.

I don't see the Bulls doing this to trigger a fury of trades to rebuild the roster. Because THJ is no building block, Green would have to embrace the bench shooter role and OMP is just the potential of a late 1st round pick and may never be anything but.

Without Lavine and Caruso trades Green never gets off the bench. If the Bulls bring back Patrick Williams he starts at the 3 no matter what so THJ isn't going to take minutes from Williams on his way out the door. then with so many other deals, the Bulls still need a starting PF and I doubt OMP gets much time behind Torrey Craig and Julian Phillips.

They need a 1st at some time to even look at this

From the Pistons: give me your overpaid, your cap sheet cloggers, your bloated contracts yearning to be free dumped for draft compensation

I don't think DDR will accept a number low enough to fit on the Mavs as a 6th man, but if he will, then DET becomes a natural partner for dumping contracts -- just give us fair compensation in the form of draft picks
