You get a center for a young man who better fits your style of play, you improve the draft, balance out the excess guards and save money in the short and long term...

I think Id pass on this. Walker is a nice young player, but I think if the Magic want to upgrade defensively they should look for a more proven big man like Hartenstein and Claxton. Otherwise I think Id just keep WCJ for now. Im not a big fan of Clarkson either. Only player from the Jazz I think would make sense for the Magic to trade for is Sexton.

I thought it was a matter of adjustment, I'm not a Jazz expert, but the fact that they play Collins more, made me think, that they prefer to play with a 5 that can space/shoot...WCJ does that, and that's what young enough to fit in long term, plus he has a very good contract

Actually one of the better trades out there. I think Utah can get away with keeping #29 and substituting it for a future pair of seconds or roping a 3rd team in.

Both players fit in theory, both fill holes, future cap isn’t really bothered. Orlando stays relatively young.

However, I could see Orlando opting to keep their assets and just drafting Edey if they were dead set on investing in a young big but then they have Goga which they can resign and has proven to be a capable backup big.

I think a deal for Clarkson straight up makes a lot more sense.

Perhaps, but I have no real perspective if this is true. I'm still high on the kid and would much rather keep him period; especially so if this is the return.

i like wcj contract and shooting do not get push for more defense over offense and a center that cant be on floor when you need them due to ft ..plus i like a few players around that 18 spot...lol

I will be the voice of opposition. Clarkson (29%), Kessler (21%), Wagner (28%) all shoot poorly from distance. Teams simply pack it in when they are on the floor.

haven’t watched many Jazz games but has Walkers stock dropped a ton? I remember he was legit as a rookie, what happened this year?

Kessler averaged 3 blocks a game and 8 rebounds.....he is still good. Ainge will not trade him unless Jazz get equal or great value.

I think the value is solid...I'm just not a fan of Clarkson and I'm dubious about Kessler's mobility in today's NBA. I understand they're also not getting anything like Paolo back, so it's just swapping of styles of players....how about:

ORL sends: Wendell Carter, Cole Anthony, both of ORL & DEN 25 frp (both top 5 protected), #47, another future srp
UTA sends: Kessler, Sexton, #29

For UTA: 2 fr picks are primary, WCJ is still young, heady, and much more versatile at C, can play inside or out, smart passer and solid defender that can switch very well for his size...also can move to PF if Ainge finds another C project down the road. Cole Anthony is a lesser, cheaper, but similar Sexton. Sexton is who he is. Good-but not the future for UTA's young, developing team, #10 this summer will likely take his spot for a lot less.

For ORL: Take a long look at Kessler as a defensive roadblock supporting their fierce POA defenders. Basically stay out of the way on offense, set picks, learn to finish rolls & lobs, crash the glass maybe. Sexton can score NOW, was a bit of a fail at PG, but could get another look next to Suggs, with only secondary creator role due to Paolo & Franz' unique tandem. Sexton may or may not stick in ORL's core, but probably worth more to ORL than to UTA, given situations. ORL looking for more late first Jaime Jacquez-type draftees than Paolos and this "weak/flat" draft actually looks good for that. I think it's fair to say 2025 picks > similar 2024 picks (for most).
