Even mobley and allen cant make up for that back court on d
TIL Fred is worse than Garland on defense

For real.

I feel like clevelands best option is to sign kcp to start at the 2

And trade mitchell/garland for the besr starting 3 they can find.
For me personally guys i would be interested in on the Rockets,,,Whitmore, Eason, Sengun maybe Jalen Green...i'd take the 3rd pick if i could package it for a vet win now player. Houston has a FVV problem,,,the dude is making 43 mill next year at 30 years old,,,and has a 45 million dollar team option for the following year which I don't think they Rockets are going to want to pick up. If the Rockets could off load FVV on someone else (If anyone would take him) they would be wise to do it. Garland would provide them with a young point guard signed into the future who has made an all star team. If the best i could do is FVV and the third pick i would decline that...now if the Rockets wanted to Toss out Whitmore or Eason and 3 then you have my attention.
"offloading" Vleet should be easy. Vleet came in and stabilized the pg position in Houston. He would do the same thing for SA or ORL. Both have the cap space and he fills an immediate need for both teams - while they groom a pg for replacement (Black in ORL? draft one for SA?). I think it would be reasonable to get a TE and a lottery protected first for Vleet from either.

For Houston, the point in sacrificing the #3 with Vleet is to get a guy that will be here long term. Houston has a ton of prospects to fill in the wing positions around Brooks (JGreen, Whitmore, Eason, Amen). This move would stabilize pg long term (c - Sengun, pf jabari also set).

As far as Houston adding value - I had this originally with the Rockets sending an additional pick (top 10 protected - best first Hou ends up with out of HOU/BKN/OKC starting in 2025). Took it out since everyone said overpaying.

As far as CLE needing a 3 - I agree. Ingram might be an option. Brooks would be even better because of defense.

If you think Garland leaving CLE / Spida will lead him to bounce back to the 21-22 form, then I think it's a good trade for both sides.

Hard to discuss Ingram trade possibilities until/ if it eventually happens--- but I can see a 3 team possibility here with:

Ingram to HOU
Garland (or Allen+) to NOP
players from HOU, #3? to CLE

Was thinking Eason, Adams, #3 from HOU to CLE, but some Rockets fans seem so high on Eason. Jabari is the ideal target, but Pels would want him for themaelves and HOU reluctant to trade him. And of course fans are low on the extension needing Ingram. But GM and ownership looking to make a semi star splash for playoff contention-- could go for Ingram if they miss out on Mikal.

Maybe Brooks as the main salary player to Cavs plus more value. I'll work on more details...

Pointless for Houston.
FVV is one of the main reasons the Rockets improved so much in just one year.
Talent is one thing, but FVV is probably the better player for Houston right now.
