I use Fanspo when being lazy, but typically do my own math.
Here are some resources...
As a rule of thumb...
Under Tax
Up to $7,525,000 in outgoing salary can bring back 200 percent plus $250,000
$7,525,001 to $30,100,000 can take back outgoing salary plus flat $7,775,000
Above $30.1 million will be limited to 125 percent plus $250,000
Over Tax, Under 1st Apron
125% + $250K of outgoing
Over 1st Apron, Under 2nd
Can't receive more than sending out
Over 2nd
Can't combine players or receive player via sign and trade

I use that one as well. But I question if the second apron rules actually work.
It has the best functionality but you have to know the rules because it is not always accurate.
I think RealGM was the original trade machine, then came espn.
Fanspo has the best UI and I believe was the first to implement the ability to add picks.
Spotrac definitely has the most accurate numbers and info, but the trade machine was only recently introduced so it’s not as user friendly for sure.
