Ill offer this idea for:
-Pistons land a veteran SG/SF while creating more long term cap flexibility
-Mavs land a former starter in DFS whom can start at the 3
-Nets continue to stock pile 1st round picks
-Thunder add more youth with a young 5 who can potentially start
To Detroit (Trade Stewart)
-Tim Hardaway Jr. (1 year, $16.2 million)
-2025 Toronto 2nd round pick
To Dallas (Trade THJ, 2025 2nd)
-Dorian Finney-Smith (1 year, $15 million plus P.O.)
To Brooklyn (Trade DFS)
-2025 Miami 1st round pick (lottery protected) via OKC
To OKC (Trade 1st)
-Isaiah Stewart (3 years, $45 million plus P.O.)
Why?
-Pistons add a veteran SG/SF as they add more necessary experience for that position and create more cap flexibility
-Dallas adds a SF/PF to help bolster their starting 5 as they can start him at the 3
-Brooklyn gets another 1st as they continue to sell off assets
-OKC gets a young 5 on a long term deal to bolster their frontcourt.

Re: Pistons/Mavs/Nets/Thunder
If OKC is giving a first for Stewart why is Detroit giving it to Dallas so they can swap it for DFS and taking just THJ?
Dallas is stealing Detroit's value here. Feels like you forgot something because this cannot be right.

Detroit should be getting an asset for taking on THJ. And certainly not giving up Stewart who is one of the Pistons better players.

Re: Pistons/Mavs/Nets/Thunder
Yeah, Dallas has no place here. Detroit would be more interested in DFS or the 1st rounder than THJ, though not certain trading Stew for either would completely make sense for us.

OKC probably just takes DFS here given the biggest hole is PF.

Ah I forgot to add the 2025 Raptors 2nd going from Dallas to Detroit. I figured that was enough collateral for Detroit to swap out Stewart for THJ

Yeah, Stewart is really valuable to a bunch of teams in the league. There is no way on Earth, they are taking on THJ, AND giving up Stewart.
Throw in 2 firsts, and then you got a stew brewing.

That SRP “might” be enough to just take on THJ. To get Stewart you’re going to have to give up a FRP for sure.
Stewart is signed to a reasonable contract. He can play 4 or 5. He’s developed a good 3pt range. He hustles his butt off every play. Detroit hangs up the phone after laughing their asses off.

If OKC is giving a first for Stewart, Detroit would take it and cut out anyone out everyone else. This deal (from originally post) makes no sense from Detroit.

Re: Pistons/Mavs/Nets/Thunder
OKC doesn't want big men. That should be clear after their draft. They are more likely to trade Chet for a wing than add another big man. Rather I agree with it or not is an entirely different subject. Give me a 3&D wing for Chet offer and I'll give it the Presti, I hate championships, seal of approval.
