ATL/Thunder follow up

Post#1 » by Dn4sty » Sat Jun 29, 2024 4:35 pm

Hawks get
Kenrich and two seconds

OKC gets
Nance Jr.

Hawks save a bit more more and pick up minor assets

OKC gets a backup big that gives them some size.

Hawks still need size at PF and C....at least until the Capela situation is sorted.

Not sure Nance is worth more than Williams. Makes more money and his contract expires. Don't believe OKC owes incentive here.

I really like this without the 2nds. In the past, Thunder fans were hesitant to move Kenrich, though.

Well, the idea is that Capela would stay. They wouldn't need size in that case.

I think OKC just taking Nance into cap space is the deal here. Atlanta get breathing room under the tax and OKC gets a backup rotation quality big.

Rumors are Hawks are still looking to move Capela.

I think Nance will backup OO once they flip CC. He could have more value at the deadline for a playoff push team needing inside help ala Sixers.

I really don't know what the Hawks are trying to do. They just declined Bey's Q.O. (which I agree with), but I'd need to know what the hopeful gain would be from dumping Nance. Are they still trying to win this season? Is there something they can do with the cap space?

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Bey is most likely out fir the year with an ACL injury. His QO was $8 million which would push them close to the 2nd apron.
Yes, they are still trying to win so no need to dump Nance.

Yes. I think they'll move one of Nance/Capela for someone to replace the role that Bey filled.
