Cleveland would have zero interest in Ayton. Why would they give up one of their secondary creators and their most versatile defender for a guy who would be coming off the bench?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Dlo Vincent jhs wood for ayton
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

POR politely declines.

Simons needs to go more than Ayton.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Simons/Scoot
Thybulle/Sharpe
Grant/Deni
Ayton/Murray
Williams/Clingan

That actually look like a nice balance of offense and defense in the starting line up and the bench.

Looks like a playmaking and spacing nightmare to me.

The 2nd string makes sense.

The starting lineup works as a stealth tank move. Playing big names but with such a poor position fit that you lose plenty anyways. The downside is that it makes your vets look bad and hurts their trade value.

That's probably how it goes but just makes for an incredibly awkward situation - involving a guy who can make awkward situations even worse in Ayton. I've got to wonder what he's thinking reading the mocks for weeks and then watching people openly discussing how POR needs a C with no mention of their 25yo, $35m per, recent overall #1 guy that averaged 17 and 11 in a "disappointing" year. I'm NOT defending him at all...just wondering if an already volatile young POR locker room might be better served by shipping him out, even at a discount.

There's 48 min a night so 30 for Ayton and 18 for Clingan lets Clingan develop in 24/25 then look to move Ayton after the season.

I don't think Ayton and Clingan is a problem. Ayton, Williams and Clingan is an issue. I'm very skeptical about any of them playing PF minutes (although I guess it wouldn't really hurt a team not pushing for wins). If Williams is healthy he's too good to not play and you want him getting a rotation spot to possibly recoup some trade value. Perhaps Williams isn't expected back on the court next year and it's not an issue but otherwise it's awkward with all 3.

I forgot about Robert Williams III he's hurt all the time so...
