This is what’s relevant. If he wasn’t on the trade block we wouldn’t be constantly reminded of this every other month. What purpose does this serve that we are constantly being reminded that it would take a huge offer to obtain Lauri?

We don’t hear this about wemby, ant, sga, Luka, or any other star player that isn’t looking to be moved. We did hear it about djm and Trae players that their team wanted to move on from.

Washington swaps a top 20 protected 1st from an older team for 3 seconds with reasonable upside to be in the 30s to 40s and a serviceable young wing.

Feels like Washington is getting a lot of value here for nothing.
Just give all this to Utah and make the pick protected 20-30 so Utah gets it if in the top 20.
That makes the offer way stronger IMO.

But I still think Ainge will prioritize getting some young players along with picks in any deal. That is really where he won the Gobert/Mitchell trades was landing Kessler, Sexton and Lauri along with all the picks.

Payton, Looney add no value to the deal.
