This was the type of deal I would have liked the Nets to do with Bey, though maybe not including a guaranteed 3rd year. Getting a look at someone at a cheaper salary by paying him during rehab while you're tanking is a wise move.

I guess he's the 15th player so they now have a full roster. Will they make other moves? Or are they in any risk of being under the floor or over the tax. IDK enough about their salary situation. Looks like they are ok, as long as they don't need the roster spot.

They already have Kispert as big forward who isn't a great athlete, Bey is stronger, but Kispert is a much better shooter, not sure what this really adds, but whatever...
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Wizards add Brogdon, Bey and Valanciunas
Resigned Holmes.
Moved on Avdija.

Does anyone have any idea what they are doing? Any clue?

He’s struggled both to stay on the court and to play effectively while there. And yeah, he’d basically dead money this year.

I'm curious if the 3rd year is a team option or not guaranteed.

I thought it would take 3yr24. So I like this for Washington.

I have never been a Beyliever, but it’s hard to imagine he doesn’t come back worth 2yr13 mil..

And Tyus is still sitting without a home..

Hoping Brogdon gets traded before the season starts. I want him to try and play in games that actually matter…

I'm not sure he's worth more than the minimum

He's like a slightly better version of THJ, I'd say he's worth at T-MLE.

I’ll call you Bey and raise you a Flynn.

I was afraid somebody would remind me of Flynn, TJ Warren, or Terrence Ross.

However, Sadiq is still young and has a nice frame 6-7, 215lb. He can improve and he will not be a target at the defensive end.

Disagree -- Bey is a ready target. Heck, even on the defensively challenged Pistons a couple years back, Bey stood out as a bad defender.

He's stout, but not very long, and has very slow feet. He is overwhelmed by bigs with length, and can't guard on the perimeter.

I’m not sure if Bey is an actual rotation piece on a winning team to be honest. Defense & shooting is not really that great for a role wing.

He’s a minimum salary guy in my eyes. I watch a guy like Kessler Edwards last yr on Kings who is just flat out better defender but not given same opportunities. Washington should go after guys like that more to see how they do w/ more minutes.

If you just look at Bey, you would think he's the prototypical 3&D forward. If you watch him play regularly, he's a really streaky 3 point shooter and a really poor off the ball defender. He's not a good on ball defender either, but at least he can body people up then. If he has to rotate or read a defensive coverage, he's going to be a full step late. And then he claps his hands or gives a hard dribble and pretends he almost had that one. And then the next play is the same full step late.

At least on offense he's a ball stopper who likes to show off his iso game :-P

You should listen to Detroit and Atlanta people. Streaky 3/Weak D is not a viable archetype.

Black hole on offense, streaky 3/weak D. Now recovering from an ACL injury

If he’s healthy by the beginning of next year, I could see the Suns flipping Okogies contract for him and Washington get some additional draft assets
I Dont wanna be here
