It really does. It’s hard to keep PP if his salary penalizes you by a 4x or 5x repeater lux tax. That $7 million per year is like $35million when you pay the NBA the $28 million tax penalty.

I doubt Pritchard can return a FRP, but he just doesn’t make cents (sense) if he’s gonna cost us this much tax.

Maybe they keep him for this year and figure out the money next offseason… except the team is for sale, so it’s hard to postp9ne a decision because the tax liability affects the bids. Like I said, we’ll see soon.

I can see them moving Pritchard next offseason for savings (And can see them going PG in R1 2025 to help it sting less) but they for sure should run it back this year with the same squad.

I think they keep it together for this season, but if they need to make a move next season to avoid tax it’s more likely a salary that makes a difference…Holiday. Pritchard salary makes little difference as it’s only 4 million above the minimum.
