LAC - SAC (Leonard for Fox)

Post#1 » by bpcox05 » Wed Sep 11, 2024 12:10 am

I’m bored so let’s throw out an unrealistic trade for fun…

---------------------------------------

LAC Gets: De’Aaron Fox & Kevin Huerter
LAC Gives: Kawhi Leonard & Amir Coffey
Why for LAC? With George leaving in FA and almost all of LAC’s picks tied up in trades to OKC & PHI, they move their superstar for a much younger star who can keep the ticket sales coming in for Ballmer as they move into the new stadium but he can also be a longer term piece as they look to retool their roster long term.

PG - Fox / Mann / Hyland / Porter
SG - Harden / Powell / Dunn
SF - Jones / Huerter / Primo
PF - Batum / Tucker / Brown
C - Zubac / Bamba / Jones

---------------------------------------

SAC Gets: Kawhi Leonard & Amir Coffey
SAC Gives: De’Aaron Fox & Kevin Huerter
Why for SAC? Kings add a superstar talent in hopes of running into some injury luck and making a run at a title before Father Time also catches up with DeRozan. Guard-wise, the Kings still have Ellis, Monk, and Carter to take over the PG minutes for Fox.

PG - Ellis / Monk / McLaughlin
SG - DeRozan / Carter / Jones
SF - Leonard / Coffey
PF - Murray / Lyles / McDaniels
C - Sabonis / Len / Robinson

I think that fox has more value than Kawhi at this point.

Realistically if Sac wanted to take a two or three year all in shot they would also have to move/restructure other positions for more appropriate players around Kahwi.

Long term this deal absolutely favors the Clips by a lot because Fox is just coming into his prime, is generally healthy through the bulk of seasons and is improving his game.
