Cleveland/Lakers - 3 months from now

Post#1 » by bgrep14 » Wed Oct 9, 2024 11:29 am

Cleveland: Okoro, Niang, and TT

Lakers: Rui, Reddish, and Hayes

Cleveland: Get an upgraded stretch 4 option that can likely play some minutes at the three

Lakers: Save 1.2 million which is more like 4 with luxury tax savings. Get TT back with Bron, a stretch 4, and a defending two guard that they currently don’t have.

Lakers would have to be pretty high on Okoro to do this and Vincent would have to disappoint.

I'll decide in 3 months.

Decided already. No. Cavs need Okoro's shooting to continue as they play the 2 bigs together.

Maybe he gets bumped up to the starting unit now that Strus got injured, but Okoro didn't start for us last year (absent injury). The majority of regular season minutes Allen and Mobley aren't on the floor together. One of them was usually getting rest when Okoro was in the game (and that's when they were both healthy).

But Tido is correct in the sense that we'll have a better idea on this proposal in 3 months. Rui might not even be on the Lakers roster.

Pass

Whats the point of Okoro if we have Vando?

Trying to upgrade from Rui if possible, not downgrade

I dont know if we can make a trade reasonable work, nor do I think its our best use of assets, but Garland is someone of potential interest

Would likely have to be Dlo and Rui for Garland as the main pieces. Not sure if our 29 1st and a 28/30 swap is enough. Have another 1st if needed, but I dont think this makes sense

For salary can do Vincent and then we take back Niang.

Can also add JHS instead of Vincent and Niang and take back a filler contract

Doubt its something CLE is interested in
