Re: Second Rounders for a MIN Prospect?
I'd be cool with Portland waiving a player and then seconding 2-3 seconds to try out Leonard Miller.

Re: Second Rounders for a MIN Prospect?
Last week, Chris Finch kept raving Josh Minott’s great summer. Yesterday, he was the star of the first pre-season game.
FG 9-11, 4 3P, 8 RB, 1 AST, 3 STL, 2 BLK, 22 PTS
Yeah yeah, I know it’s just pre-season, but I’m starting to believe the hype.

It's going to be a fun team to watch this season.

Judging by minute allocation in preseason game, seems Miller isn't prioritized.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: Second Rounders for a MIN Prospect?
I've been fishing for Minott for years heh I also like Miller, though I think it is a stretch to call him hyper athletic. The problem for the Warriors is that our financial situation is so tenuous I don't think we could take either without clearing some salary first, probably involving a third team since Minnesota's roster is so jammed up.

crzyyafrican makes the best sigs, quite frankly

KBD and a 2029 second to OKC (has 14 roster spots) - OKC sends one of its 2029 second round picks (they have many)
fits in with OKC's offense and adds a little size to the roster, low risk play

The guy out should be Dozier or KBD.
I think MIN would be pretty foolish to cash in Minott or Miller for a SRP.

Re: Second Rounders for a MIN Prospect?
Seeing Terrence Shannon Jr tied for first (well, with five other rookies) in the GM Survey as the “Steal of the Draft,” made me wonder why there wasn’t more interest in him. The 27th pick had a strong Summer League, and he was expected to help right away on the Timberwolves, but the addition of Donte DiVincenzo to a bench with Nickiel Alexander-Walker probably pushes his minutes from 10th man to “out of the rotation.” He went into the draft as a college senior, so playing in the G-League probably isn’t going to help his value.
If you forgot who he is, he’s the muscular, downhill scoring guard from Illinois. He was accused of sexual assault, and got a not guilty verdict just before the draft that held down his draft stock. He is 6-6, and a good defender, and was a surprising FG 60% versus lesser talent in SL. The Wolves may want to keep him, starting a cheap rookie scale deal, but they may decide it’s best for them, and TSJ, to be on a team where he can contribute right away.
Any likely fits?

Even with out of your 10 man rotation he still have rotational upside at least plus should be able contribute if someone is out.
Trade someone else . It’s ok for a rookie to alternate between g-league and main squad.

They are not trading TSJ let's be realistic.

Portland is, or should be, firmly in asset acquisition mode, and I'd be happy with any of Minnot, Miller or Shannon for 2nds. Someone mentioned being thin at C, and so something could also be done with Duop Reath and 2nds for 2 of them, to get a floor spreading backup C and 2nds for guys that might get cut?
Blazers also have a roster crunch, but we're looking to suck, so I'd waive elsewhere and take flyers on guys like Shannon and Miller happily. I really wanted Miller over Kris Murray in last years draft.
Reath and 2nds for Miller and Shannon gets Minn to 15 on the roster, and saves about 2.4 million in salary.

The Wolves are over the 2nd apron, they can't aggregate. And really, they've got no reason to trade a guy in Shannon Jr. they just took in the 1st round for a 2nd rounder. I could see Minott or KBD being moved for a 2nd if someone wanted them and the front office preferred Dozier (for some reason, though I find it unlikely). But Miller and Shannon are highly unlikely to be moved when the otherwise clear answer is Dozier gets sent packing with a partial guaranteed contract.

Reath only makes 2 million so aggregation wouldn't be necessary.
Otherwise, I agree with you they shouldn't be looking to move either. Just working off of the OP premise

Ah, my bad. Thanks. For some reason I had it in my head he made $3M but then you even list the money savings there which should have made me realize 3 couldn't be the number. I'm an idiot
