Cavs get: Brandon Ingram
Pels get: Max Strus and Caris LeVert
Why?
Cleveland gets their starting SF.
Pels add veterans and duck the tax.
Brandon Ingram agrees to an extension as part of the transaction.

Re: Cavs / Pels
Why do you keep trying to trade the one affordable starter we have who is also one of the few two-way players on the roster?
The Cavs aren't going to pay Ingram $50M per to be our 5th starter. We'd have the most expensive starting 5 in the NBA. Also, Ingram is a poor fit with Allen and Mobley due to his love of the midrange shot. The Cavs would almost have to trade Allen or Mobley after this which makes the cost of this trade much more expensive.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I feel like we have too many SG's on the roster. Is it a bad thing to have the most expensive starting 5? We have the second richest owner in the NBA.
I'm not a fan of trading LeVert though.

Yes it's a very bad thing to have the most expensive starting 5 in the NBA under the new CBA. You should look up the applicable restrictions for teams over the 1st and 2nd aprons. It's even worse given the fact that it's very hard to justify paying Ingram that much money.
We do have too many tweener wings, but you keep putting the best of them, who happens to be on a team friendly contract, in these proposals.
I'm skeptical that both LeVert and Okoro finish the season in Cleveland. I suspect one of them gets shipped out for DFS (unless another team finally offers the 1st the Nets want). There are rumblings that Wade could start at SF. We just drafted a guy who has enough size to play SF. We also just hired a new head coach and the F.O. wants to see how the team responds to him.

Re: Cavs / Pels
I think this one is a maybe…., but wouldn’t NO want a big coming back. Maybe if a third team is involved or if they have a follow up trade.
From Cleveland perspective…Struss can almost give you the impact Ingram might at a much cheaper price tag, so IDK…is that much money ( he will probably end up at 4/200 or maybe a bit less…not quite a max) worth the slight upgrade?

Yeah, I'm ALL the way out in trading for/extending Ingram, just too many issues health/durability wise, and if he actually even has the IMPACT his numbers suggest. he went out with a whimper last year. My pipedream scenario would be Herb and or Trey from the Pels, but more realistic and an easier fit would just be to trade spare parts/expiring money for DFS/someone in that tier.
