I think a FRP is wild but could see a team buying into this preseason and his natural athleticism. I think 2 SRP is the best MIN could hope for.

Can he play SF? How is he going to get minutes?

He’s really more of a SF. Here’s MIN in a nutshell:

The Wolves starters are Conley, Ant, McDaniels, Randle, Gobert, and they will want to get as many minutes to Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo as possible. Nickiel Alexander-Walker should be the eighth man and get fourth guard minutes. However, there is a chance the DDV trade and drafting Dillingham and Shannon could mean NAW is a trade candidate for an offer worth reducing this year’s playoff chances. I think the plan for bringing in Joe Ingles was to add more shooting, and add his playmaking experience with Gobert and Conley, but DDV makes that less important, and Minott has simply been too good to leave on the bench. McDaniels is great, and they want him to continue to expand his game, but he does get into foul trouble, so it looks like there will finally be minutes for Minott at SF, as the Wolves ninth man, eighth if NAW is moved.

I think we can let this thread die. As many have said earlier, other teams aren’t going to pay a lot for Minott since he hasn’t played much NBA basketball, and MIN wouldn’t give him up for those offers.

Hollinger’s projections loved the kid, and he hyped him pretty heavily that he could be the surprise of the draft, and took a very loud victory lap after Minott excelled in his first summer league.

I can see honest people saying they think he has little value, and other honest people saying they think he is worth a protected 1st. For me, I need to see more, but there were a lot of encouraging signs this summer.

Problem is that he's stuck behind Randle and Naz at the PF spot right?

I think its probably more helpful to view Naz as a big vs PF. As for Minot, he'll be fighting for backup F minutes behind the top 8 guys with Ingles and TSJ -- though based on preseason mins he's probably ahead of TSJ right now. But from a standard position view, he's definitely more of a SF at this point. Going against bench guys he could slide down to the 4 if they go small/run more. But if he's mixing in with the regular rotation guys he's more 3 than 4 just from a size standpoint and if his improved looking shot holds up.

Doubt many teams would even sacrifice an open roster slot for him, let alone pick to be honest.
