LAL - NOP - POR

Post#1 » by aguiar95 » Mon Oct 21, 2024 4:48 pm

LAL in: Grant, Reath
LAL out: Hachimura, Vincent, JHS, '29 LAL 1st (top 4 protected).

Why? Give LBJ and AD a better starting forward to try and compete this year, also get a decent backup.

Russell/
Reaves/Christie
James/Knetch
Grant/Vanderbilt
Davis/Reath

NOP in: Ayton, '29 LAL 1st (top 4 protected)
NOP out: Ingram

Why?

Get a starting center and get some value for an expiring Ingram.

Murray/Alvarado
McCollum/Hawkins
Jones/Green
Williamson/Murphy
Ayton/Missi

POR in: Ingram, Hachimura, Vincent, JHS
POR out: Grant, Ayton, Reath.

Why? More playing time to develop Clingan and their young pieces, buy-low on Ingram (future sell).

Henderson/Vincent
Sharpe/Simons
Ingram/Thybulle
Avdija/Hachimura
Clingan/Williams III

LAL cut out Portland. Both James and Grant are PFs now. Neither of them should be chasing wings around much anymore. Ingram gives them creation they are missing.

But Portland would cut out New Orleans too. If they can get that for Grant then they would just keep the 1st, not flip it for the expiring Ingram during their 25 win season.

I don't think thats right about Grant at PF. Blazers got Deni for PF over the summer. I don't know, it's a bit wierd because Blazers have a ton of folks who can play both SF/PF, but I've definitely been seeing Grant guarding more SFs over the last year.

Why does NO need to be involved here? The deal works LAL\POR, no need to include Ingram in this deal.
