The Clippers are stuck with Kawhi. Why would any team consider trading for Kawhi with the controversy that has been surrounding his knee? He'll likely be in and out of lineups until he retires or is medically retired.

A really random bad idea, but a homecoming?

SAS can make the money work with Barnes/Keldon and some (off by a couple million, but fill in with whatever bench player you want..) and can offer a low value pick. And Leonard gets to return to the team he left to play with CP/Vassell/Wemby..

Lavert, Okoro, Struss, and Niang for Leonard and Christie.

The Cavs are not going to trade for Leonard's contract. There's no way to add another contract that size to the roster and stay out of apron Hell or build a functional roster. He's not worth any of our core guys. He's not even worth his contract. None of the risk of him missing a half a season, an entire playoff series, or just continuing his injury related regression, are priced into it.

The Clippers F.O. is catching the smoke, but I'd be surprised if Leonard's health (and extension) had nothing to do with PG leaving.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Unless something really positive happens regarding Kawhi's physical health, he is now gone beyond his "Best Before Date" and still has a $150 million anchor attached to him over the next three years. Why would anyone want to give up assets for that...
