Dallas is better off using the pick for an offseason upgrade or rolling the dice on hitting in the draft over this trade.

Not really sure how legal it is, but hypothetically, Nico can talk to Kyrie and ask him to waive 400K off his bonus, and open enough to cover the distance.
I'd do the OP if Nets kick back their 2nd rd pick, or if they replace the 1st with 2 2nds, Mavs have Sixers 2nd rounder next year, looks like it has some potential.
P.S. Maxi Kleber is a useful rotation player, he's just injured 40 games every year, Clippers should trade dead expiring like PJT for him.
never heard of players being allowed to restructured contracts like that... not sure if thats CBA legal
Happens all the time with trade kickers (Holmes to the MAvs last year, Barnes to the Spurs this year), I'm not sure it works also for bonuses.
My main 2 trade targets to the Mavs are Sexton and DFS, backup PF and backup guard are the weakest links, both are really hard to pull because of the 1st Apron hardcapping...
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Prosper is being seen as having essentially no value itt, right? So pop him out and put in Powell and add in a 2nd rounder or two. Creates a center depth issue for Dallas, but at that point you just play Washington or Doe Doe as a tiny 5 and live with it. And Dallas can hope and hope that Prosper is ready to provide some cheap rotation minutes in 2 years? Better than throwing him into a deal as salary ballast. And make no mistake, I'm not saying he should have more value than salary ballast ATM.
I can't be objective on Dorian(nor Maxi exactly, but his injuries make me less attached). The question for me is whether or not he is a better closing option than Marshall or Klay. And I think yes. Marshall offers more in terms of being able to create offense. Klay is the better shooters. But if that 5th guy is going to be stand in the corner and defend, then it sure feels like he is.
Brooklyn should do this. And they should definitely see if the Clipper want to turn Turner into Kleber which they should. Or any contending team that has a bleh expiring.
