Much rather have Kennard and his special skillset. Cannot see why Boucher is worth more than him and wouldn't be in our playoff rotation while Kennard likely will depending on the matchups. I think we would aim higher if we wanted to use Kennard's expring salary in a trade.

 I’d you’re talking about the playoffs, Kennard will be played off the court.

Also, there’s not enough minutes in that backcourt, and they will need help in the front court. IDC if it’s Boucher, but they need to add some talent up front.

Kennard had a very good playoff series the first year he was here. He is a weapon that can be utilized when the matchups are right and at full health we can surround him with enough defense for him to make an impact.

Boucher is simply not a big upgrade in the front court. LaRavia is playing great so far, Clarke is starting to round into form, GG Jackson will be back soon, Aldama has stepped up his game. Boucher is just not an upgrade over what we have in house. As I said we will be aiming higher with more assets if you think we need something more in the frontcourt over just another guy like Boucher.

Dallas is hard capped at the first apron, and only $500k under it, so they’d have to send out $5-6m more in order to backfill the minimum roster spots.

Would he? His first playoff appearance, he averaged 33.3 minutes versus 22.8 in the regular season, albeit only four playoff games. His second visit, 14.6 minutes in 15 games versus 19.6 in the regular season. Third time, 21.4 minutes versus 22.3 in the regular season.

Hasn't been played off the court thus far, and he provides spacing with his jumper, though, he passes up on too many open looks (at least did with the Clips).

I see no way Boucher returns two seconds with Kennard in a swap. Maybe if Luke has a season ending injury.

Would make more sense as a 3 team with Kennard going to GS and GS sending Melton and a 2nd or two to Toronto :dontknow:

As a salary dump I guess this is okay value except for the tax and apron issues. But Boucher isn't playing any more than Powell.

So don't see Dallas being interested. I 100% think Dallas would be more likely to trade that package for nothing than Boucher. Duck the tax at least.

Yea Boucher is not good. Dallas isn't going to give Tor a 2nd and Omax for him. It doesn't make sense financially or on the court

Seems more utility in the playoff thus far than Boucher .Boucher playoff of note he played around 20mins of playoff per game and lost out on minutes to precious.

Whoever Memphis brings in probably have to be better than 2 of these 4 folks to matter in the playoff (Clarke / aldama / huff /lavaria) so probably someone with a fair bit of playoff experience to balance against this group of bigs ? (I’m assuming Edey and JJJ is getting minutes in the playoff no matter what. So minimally 4th or 5th big option for them)
