Whoa Whoa Whoa...KCP does everything Cam does AND is an elite defender...both make around $22m. No way do I add a pick and, honestly, I don't do it at all. Why trade your starter for a guy destined to be a limited minutes backup (don't tell me Cam's defending guards)?
KCP has been playing well last 3 games but whos to say Cam isn't an upgrade over him? Cam young vet with a lot of game left in him. KCP wont be here past his contract which he will be around 35 then. I don't expect him to keep this level of defense for much longer. Overall just saying Cam Johnson would be an upgrade.
I think a KCP making shots is more valuable personally--which is why I made this deal using different salary matching. But I also disagree Cam is a limited minute guy. I mean there is 28-30 mpg for him with a healthy Wagner/Paulo without ever playing them all together--but you can obviously play them all together in a PNR league where everyone switches everything.
But I find it interesting how many posters look at an apron issue that won't manifest for 2 years and think you can't make moves around the margins like this. I just firmly disagree. Look how much rosters turn over in 2 years just in general. Its just we get attached to our guys and assume they will all play out every contract.

There are a couple of sellers this season in the Bulls, Jazz, Wizards, and Nets. If the right opportunity presents to grab an upgrade bench piece, we take it. But right now, I just don't see this front office ma
