Ball + 2025 SRP (SAC) + 2029 SRP (SAC) for Sexton

Why for the Bulls?
Increased productivity at a slightly lower salary. Higher likelihood of making the playoffs.

Why for the Jazz?
Slightly higher salary this season, more cap room this summer. Higher likelihood of a bottom 5 pick. Replenish SRPs.

Bulls have TOO MANY GUARDS now changing one for the other and giving up picks to do it isn't helping.

Sexton is better than Ball offensively but nowhere close on defense and the Bulls need MORE defense. How much do they need Sexton when they start Giddey, White and Lavine and bring the defensive minded Dosunmu off the bench.

All of the Lakers seconds are a long ways off, there are pros and cons to waiting that long, but... maybe? A previous thread guesstimated the value of the Lakers removing the top-4 protection on their 2027 FRP as equal to a pick at the end of the first round. I'd imagine that Ainge would, at the least, counter with that plus an SRP.

(And great handle, DNP-Old. I can relate.)

This is basically expiring + 2 SRPs, plenty of teams could pay that if that's the asking price, doesn't have to be the Bulls. Might get more.

I'd hope we can get a lottery protected first from someone. I also agree the positional fit is wrong for Chicago.

I’d pass on that deal. I’d rather keep Sexton than get 2nd round picks.
