Brissette and Prichard + 2nd round pick for Eason

That might be fair value but it probably doesn’t do anything for Boston. Pritchard is a lot better than people think.

People saw he had a rough start and had a lot of confirmation bias I think. Been really solid and some catch all stats like LEBRON have him rated very highly right now.

Some of the takes in this thread are so bad that it is hardly worth responding at all.

But here’s a response, anyway:

Eason is not available.

Houston is overloaded with prospects. Especially at forward. Brooks, Tate, Eason and Whitmore are ideally small forwards.
Still, Eason is there when it matters.

I think Eason is quite over hyped by Rocket fans and the seeming valuation across the league....but to compare him to Oshae is a bit...wild.

As far as the OP goes, initially, my mind was, two firsts, you are nuts, mad overpay. But then, considering one will be 28-30, and the other, likely as well unless injuries happen, Houston isn't going to consider that. While, concurrently, I don't think Boston should handicap any other potential trades for Eason.

I mean it would make his mom's dream come true ( she's a Boston fan and a hilarious follow in general.) but yeah I don't see the urgency of Houston needing to trade Eason for late firsts. He would be playing more minutes if not for a leg injury in pre-season that's kept him on a minutes limit and missing some back to backs. Whenever he's been on the court with just about anyone they won those minutes and the Rockets are certainly a team that keep a close eye on those metrics like deflections and stuff.

The debate in Houston has mostly been that if Boston needs to blow it up in a year or 2 due to the tax then they might try to swoop in for Brown and use Dillon as the main salary balance or something. In such a scenario discussing Eason might be more reasonable (depending on how he and a few other guy are progressing. )

Late picks and a scrub won’t get it done.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

I can tell you that if Eason is available Boston will get outbid.

The thread is a year old dude. not pertinent any more as Houston is playing well with Eason a big part of success and Boston won a chip and is over the second Apron facing repeater tax.

Are you still on this?
It would be a nice trade for Boston possibly but Houston isn’t moving him for smaller pieces. Houston is in development and consolidation mode. If they make a trade it will be consolidating assets to bring in a better player, not breaking up a solid young guy into late picks.

Not sure why you are replying to me as if I made this thread active when there are offers literally on this page from this week that are subpar.

If you have frustration about what your team can offer take it up with the poster that made your team look gullible asking for a player they can’t afford to get.
