OKC/UTA

Post#1 » by MoneyTalks41890 » Sun Jan 5, 2025 12:41 pm

OKC out: Isaiah Joe, Ousmane Dieng, Dillon Jones, 2025 UTA 1st (top 10/8/nada)
OKC in: John Collins, Patty Mills

After the January restriction lifts, Thunder address rebounding and offense.

UTA out: John Collins, Patty Mills
UTA in: Isaiah Joe, Ousmane Dieng, Dillon Jones, 2025 UTA 1st (top 10/8/nada)

Jazz get some salary relief, pick flexibility, and some lesser prospects to look at.

I think OKC is probably owed value here. But I couldn’t bring myself to add a pick from Utah.

Could drop the Utah pick from this, or mess with the protections.

It's well balanced and tempting as I really like Joe and Jones. The UTA first would be nice to have back for flexibility's sake, but I highly doubt it ever conveys. (Tony Jones made a thinly veiled statement last night that the Jazz intend to tank next season as well.)

Utah doesn't need the salary relief and I'm probably one of the few Jazz fans on here who wants to keep Collins beyond this contract. I'd pass, but I suspect that many others wouldn't.
