Heat out : J.Butler
Heat in : J. Randle, G. Vincent

Min out : J. Randle
Min in : R. Hachimura, A. Reaves

LAL out : R. Hachimura, A. Reaves, G. Vincent, J. Vandebilt
LAL in : J. Butler, W. Moore Jr.

DET out : W. Moore Jr.
DET in : J. Vanderbilt

need to be balance with some pick here and there, but it's seems legal even with the apron restriction for Minni.

Wolves would probably want to decline Rui, give the Pistons their pick back, and get Beef stew. Now the KAT trade was Karl out for Beef Stew, Austin Reaves, and DDV. Might need some additional tweaks.

Edit to add: If Detroit is willing to eat Rui’s money and take V8, then they get a 1st for Beef Stew. Spotrac says it works. Wolves get Reaves and Beef, use the saving to help pay one of Naz or NAW next year. Reaves starts at PG for the Wolves, Conley to the bench. Detroit loses their backup C but gets their first back to make additional moves and adds Rui as an expiring next year and V8 who when healthy is a plus player. Miami gets rid of Jimmy and adds Randle, and LAL gets Jimmy.

I agree that MIN can’t afford to include Rui’s $18 next year. A swap for Isaiah Stewart makes for a better fit. Rui isn’t a bad player - one year for the DET 1st is an overpay though. Maybe NAW and his Bird rights?

I love NAW, and he’s been the biggest bright spot for the Wolves. He leads the team in +/- by a wide margin, even with less minutes off the bench. But as we slide more and more players in front of him in the pecking order, there is less and less chance he would re-sign with little opportunity. I know basketball is more positionless, but the primary positions for the key players on the roster is:

Conley
Ant, Reaves, DDV, NAW
McDaniels
Naz
Gobert, Stewart

This seems to me that NAW needs to be traded, and/or the team has too much starter-level talent and needs a consolidation trade. Maybe that can happen in a trade this big?

Reaves has 5.9 AST this year. He had 5.5 last year. His turnovers are 2.5 and 2.1 respectively. Reaves can play PG.

Reaves/Conley/Dilly
Ant/DDV/TSJ
Jaden/NAW/TSJ
Reid/Minott/Miller
Gobert/Stewart/Garza

This is a team that can space. While I know Reaves is weak on D, Gobert can cover some of that up. When Dilly is ready to move to PG 2 Mike will be 38 and well on his way to PG3.

It’s been a few days, the Heat are not liking the offers coming in for Butler, I want to bump this thread to once again ask, is a 3 or 4 team deal that sends Randle to Miami a good thing?

As stated earlier, it depends on the rest of the salary coming back, and pick compensation...

I think you need to understand that Jimmy is going home if not traded. The absence of a deal is a bad option for Miami. In light of that, trying to get good value on Jimmy is unlikely. You might get a good pick and bad money, or a decent player package and no picks. But even with competition, you are unlikely to get good value on Jimmy.

I think you need to understand it's been like two days. We're not panicked.

Chill, bro.

It would be better to buy him out than take a deal we don't like.
