Also, Dame wanted to play with Bulter, not Herro.

He wanted to play with Bam iirc.

I think the offer is Middleton, filler, and a 1st, not Dame.

Bucks over the second apron. Can't aggregate contracts, so it would have to be a 1:1 contract that is almost identical and Dame and Jimmy are within 400k

Or they find a deal that’s net -7m or so.

Midds, Brook, Pat outgoing with a third, and maybe fourth and fifth teams. I didn’t say it was easy, just possible.

They're short on assets so they'd have to pay someone to take that $7 million and then pay us to take that hodgepodge of meh in exchange for Jimmy...

Right. I'm not saying the Heat will do it, just that I don’t think that Dame is being offered.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

If it was Pat/Bobby, i could see a team taking them on. Bobby Portis is a good enough player to eat 1 extra year of Pat, imo

Pat/Bobby to Det for THJ
Middleton/1st for Butler

Also save Miami a chit ton of money this year as a bonus. Leaves the Bucks stupid thin up front though

A minor add on to the Middleton/Lopez route.. Middleton’s unlikely incentives are leaving with him. So Milwaukee gains some extra wiggle room that doesn’t show up on a trade checker.. Middleton, Lopez, Johnson is plenty to back fill the roster spots.

But also, Houston could jump in as the third team, take Lopez and Alec Burks for Jock and Tate (and whatever minor value you feel Lopez has) then you just need to pawn Jock off on one of the teams with their MLE/tpe/cap space and Miami gets Middleton, Tate, prospect, lightly protected 2031 first. Eh?

Unless that prospect is really good, that is about as appealing an offer as a kick to the shin. It's flotsam and a pick.

There could be a trade of Dame for Butler without a 3rd team. For instance, they trade the two, and separately, the Bucks send a true minimum (signed) player, Trent for example, and Miami takes him with the minimum salary exception, no salary matching necessary.
