Butler to Memphis

Butler to Memphis

Clark/Smart/Kennard/Konchar to Miami who would have to cut a guy or three.

This isn’t my framework but curious what people would think about it and what would be needed to balance it out.

Miami lands some (semi-)valuable rotation players to maintain competitiveness in the medium term for a guy that’s clearly on the way out. Memphis goes all in and consolidates some decent guys for a much higher ceiling player without losing the farm.

MEM needs to add some value to MIA for them to even consider. FRP(s), Aldama, or asking for Bane instead.

Yeah you could take out Konchar and add in some of the Aldama/Laravia types instead for more value.

I’ve been one of the bigger proponents of Butler as a player in terms of his quality for awhile, but I don’t think he goes for a ton at this stage considering his age and contract.

Clarke, Smart and Kennard are enough salary wise to match Jimmy.
I think Memphis throws in a 1st and that is probably the best offer they will get for Jimmy Butler.

Smart is a decent back court partner for Herro, he is a good enough defender to play with Duncan and Rozier too. Clarke gives them some more size and Kennard is mostly just filler because he is worse than Robinson at this point.

Legit don't think there is a real offer out there better

Throw in GG Jackson and a top 20 protected 1st.

Get Kevin Love back to Memphis too. I think he can help them.

I think Butler to Mem should be the go to, as for who I don't know - I Suggested Bane/Clarke to get numbers to match, but most want to keep Bane, so if you can do It with out Bane, sure. Has there been any talk on Mem side of things wanting Butler?
