HOU: OG Anunoby
NYK: Jabari Smith Jr, Steven Adams, Jock Landale
- 2025 HOU 1st (better of HOU/PHX) top 12 protected turning into 2 2nds,
- 2027 HOU 1st (greater of HOU/BK) unprotected
- 2029 1st (2nd most valuable of DAL/PHX/HOU - top 10 protected - if all 3 end up in the top 10 then the least valuable of the 3 go to NY)
NY looks to flip Landale and one of the picks for a rotation piece in the 14-16mm range (NY is going 3 for 1 so can mix in a minimum of Achiwa for outgoing salary)
NY moves off OG to add depth and recoup some future assets
HOU uses some of their excess draft capital to go for it now. I tried to thread the needle in giving NY a high upside pick (2027) combined with another pick that is guaranteed to convey while protecting Houston’s upside (2029).

1)OG is not worth 4 1sts.
2)Houston cant trade 2025 1st.
3)Houston need a 1st option scorer if they are going for it now, not OG

Re: NY-HOU - Need a 3rd team
I doubt Houston gives up Jabari for OG, let alone adding picks.
Brooks is starting at one forward spot and Amen will be the other unless we start him at pg(Vleet out).
I think Jabari has lost his starting spot to Amen and Eason. But, he still has huge potential.
I know NY is disappointed with OG but no reason for Houston to overpay to help NY. Would like OG off the bench here but not at significant cost.

he said first option, not second
HOU has a solid, deep line up. However, who do they give the ball to late in a close play-off game? FVV? Green?
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Re: NY-HOU - Need a 3rd team
I'd love to pick off Steven Adams for ORL...overall, that's way too much, imo, for OG.
I also don't know that it makes NY closer to contending - I don't think it's any accident that they paid a ton to have OG and Bridges on board to stifle Tatum and Brown. Is there any reason to think NY would shop OG...it's never money with NY.

That's a Brunson package , not OG.
OG was a nice valuable piece on his last contract. On his current contract, its a time bomb.

Hard pass for NY.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

I don't think OG is worth a whole more if any than NY paid. His contract is fine if your team is all in already but really hard to work with with him as your 4th best player, especially if the trade kicker stays which likely it will.
