Just for reference/comparison...CJ McCollum makes $33.3m and one more year at $30.7, this year...21.6ppg, 3.8 apg (down significantly-since Dejounte?), 37% from 3 (way below his career) on 8.4 attempts, 33yo - great personality and leadership...from all accounts, NOLA would like to offload his salary given the trainwreck they are this season. His defense is also universally panned and given his age and relative (to the other two) lack of elite athleticism, is less likely to change. Tougher to match salaries, but do-able.
CJ's place in the league is well-established and he could be a buy-low on a legit 3rd piece of a BIG 3 offensively...even if his role is Manu Ginobili, flamethrower off the bench. He's my third choice, but another guy that could, theoretically, drop right into a role that suits him perfectly and is completely vacant for ORL right now. Given his age and earning history - he could be a guy that might re-up for a few more years at a lesser salary due to the fit and the environment (and the lack of FL state taxes?).

As a Blazers fan, I felt this in my soul.
