Personally I don't think it would be a high 2nd like the Raps pick back. I could see a 2nd in 2027, 28 or 29.

Realistically, I think Mitchell has very little value as he’s a couple weeks away from restricted free agency and you dont know if you really want him back or even want to pay him the QO…. So maybe you just “overpay” and do Godaddy’s idea to get the small asset.
Or maybe Toronto’s 2026 second back to Detroit? I don’t think Toronto plans to be terrible again next year?
I don’t think Det should scoff at the idea of Mitchell or at losing the Toronto 2nd. But OP is the price for a good rotation piece, not just a rotation piece.
The QO thing has nothing to do with his value. He's effectively expiring salary - just don't make the QO. I understand that the 25 Tor 2nd is a lot for Mitchell, but it's an opening position. Detroit's other 2nds are quite weak, but 2 might do the job. For one, we'll just hang on to him.

These guys have no trade value. Its fine if you value him eating minutes off the bench for a team who doesn't care if they win, but that doesn't mean teams who are trying to win are going to give you premium 2nds(or anything really) for him.
Every team has medicore role players. Yours aren't special. I know this sucks to hear, but its true.
I am shocked to hear you disparaging Davion Mitchell, shocked.
No worries. I am not all surprised that you hear a bunch of respected posters tell you he has no value and your takeaway is Chuck is biased against Raptors players.
Only possible explanation really.
So, obviously, I'm not shocked. I've come to expect this level of commentary from you. I'm just putting out some trade ideas, for **** & giggles. Folks will respond with their own takes, some more thoughtfully than others. It would be nice if you, as a "respected poster", could dispense with the condescension and putdowns.

I mean, it kind of does. But honestly, I don’t see this trade happening as is. Toronto would want some form of compensation, it doesn’t make sense for Detroit to add any.
It feels more like a 3 team trade. Where Toronto takes on some kind of salary dump for the assets, 3rd team takes on Moore Jr because he’s cheaper, Detroit takes on Mitchell to take a look at a pg

Meh. Too pricey for Davion. We could use him, no doubt, but not for an early second.
There’s a lot of guys available that could help more that we’d pay more for, and if we’re serious about improving, this doesn’t do enough to bother.

Re: Detroit/Toronto - Pistons get a backup PG
Echoing a few of the sentiments above - Mitchell has never struck me as a strong playmaker/ball handler (which is what the Pistons should be looking for), and I'm not sold that he is much of an upgrade over Sasser in general (give Sasser is a much better outside shooter).
I think I'd do it for Wendell Moore Jr alone just to take a look at Mitchell and see if there's anything there, and Toronto saves some dollars. At most I'd give up either the 2027 (less favorable of Brooklyn/Dallas) or 2028 (less favorable of Clippers/Charlotte) second rounders that are owed to us but not the 2025 Toronto pick which projects to be an early second rounder.

Echoing everyone . Davion worth more a late second than an early second here.
And if Detroit really want to make a push for the play in/playoffs they should be aiming higher.
