I dont think it makes sense for Minnesota. They are giving up 3 key rotation players for 1, where they are already thin with DDV out.
Vandy the guy seems like a good dude, hard worker, great teammate, etc. But the foot issues that he had in high school and college have now come back in the NBA. I'd want no part of 2 years + player option left on his deal after this year. Plus he hasn't played in a game in almost 12 months, hard to count on him.
The draft pick swaps do nothing for me. Detroit is moving in the right direction finally so moving that pick 2 years forward I dont think is beneficial. Plus this draft looks like it should have some pretty intriguing young talent.
Finally, I dont think Johnson can get moved until after the deadline anyway since he had a 2way that was converted to a regular deal near the very end of 2024.
