Bucks could change their minds if the Suns cave and include Dunn.
This could be the holdup. If 3 picks satisfied all parties this would be done shortly after the Suns/Utah trade finalized. 1 pick for taking Beal. 1 pick for helping the Bucks move Connaughton. 1 pick to the Heat.
Something is missing for the Bucks. They're getting 2 late 1sts to take on 150 million which is even at best. And losing Portis, someone I consider 1st round value.
Dunn seems like a nice young player but Beal/Dunn just seems like such a weird fit for the Bucks. Doubling down on all offense no D in the backcourt, and big athletic guys that can't shoot at the forwards.
Yeah, might make more sense Heat get Dunn and the 1st earmarked to the Heat routes to the Bucks.
Team that takes Pat gets 2025.
Bucks get 2027 and 2029 with Beal.
Heat get Dunn, Middleton, Portis.
Dunn is not going to get included. He's a stud defensively with better offensive skills than advertised. You don't give up 7 years of team control of a guy like Dunn for the privilege of extending a decaying Jimmy Butler to a 50 mil plus a year contract.
